St Michael’s, Frampton West
The Church of St Michael and All Angels, built in 1863 so parishioners at the west end of the parish weren’t facing a three-mile walk to St Mary’s.

Built of Ancaster stone in 1863 for the Revd J. Tunnard, vicar of Frampton, to the design of architect James Fowler of Louth. The condition of the roads from Frampton West to the parish church had long drawn criticism — some elderly residents faced a three-mile walk each way. Revd Tunnard chose a grass field behind his own residence, planning a £500 building; his cousin John Pearson then subscribed £1,000 towards “an ornament to the parish.”
The corner stone was laid by Mrs Tunnard on 27 April 1863; the church was built in six months and dedicated on 19 November 1863 by the Bishop of Lincoln, Rt Revd John Jackson. A new altar was consecrated in 1958; a vestry screen added in 1999 in memory of a congregation member; a stained glass memorial window installed in 2008; and a 150th-anniversary service held on 24 November 2013.
